Privacy Policy
KAH LABO establishes this Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the “Policy”) regarding the handling of privacy information in the services provided on this website (hereinafter referred to as the “Service”).
Article 1 (Privacy Information)
1. “Personal Information” within the scope of privacy information refers to “personal information” as defined in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, and means information relating to a living individual that can identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact details, or other descriptions contained therein.
2. “History Information and Characteristic Information” within the scope of privacy information refers to information other than the Personal Information defined above, and includes records of services used and products purchased, pages and advertisements viewed, search keywords entered by users, dates and times of use, methods of use, usage environment, postal codes, gender, occupation, age, IP address, cookie information, location information, and device identifiers.
Article 2 (Methods of Collecting Privacy Information)
1. KAH LABO may ask users to provide personal information such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, bank account number, credit card number, and driver’s license number when registering for use. In addition, KAH LABO may collect transaction records containing users’ personal information and payment-related information from partners (including information providers, advertisers, and advertising distributors; hereinafter referred to as “Partners”).
2. KAH LABO collects history information and characteristic information such as services and software used, products purchased, pages and advertisements viewed, search keywords, dates and times of use, methods of use, usage environment (including communication status and various setting information when using mobile devices), IP address, cookie information, location information, and device identifiers when users use the Service or view pages of KAH LABO or its Partners.
Article 3 (Purposes of Collecting and Using Personal Information)
1. The purposes for which KAH LABO collects and uses personal information are as follows:
(1) To allow users to view and modify their registered information and view usage status by displaying registered information such as name, address, contact details, and payment methods, as well as information regarding services used, products purchased, and related charges
(2) To use email addresses to send notices or communications to users, and to use contact information such as name and address to deliver products or contact users as necessary
(3) To verify the identity of users using information such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, bank account number, credit card number, driver’s license number, and delivery confirmation results of registered mail
(4) To bill users for charges by using information such as product names and quantities purchased, types, periods, and frequency of services used, billing amounts, and payment-related information including name, address, bank account number, and credit card number
(5) To enable users to input data more easily by displaying registered information on input screens or transferring such information to other services (including those provided by Partners) based on user instructions
(6) To refuse use of the Service by users who violate the Terms of Use, such as by delaying payment or causing damage to third parties, or who attempt to use the Service for fraudulent or improper purposes, by using information necessary to identify individuals such as usage patterns, names, and addresses
(7) To respond to inquiries from users by using information necessary to provide the Service, such as inquiry details, billing information, service usage status, and contact information
(8) Purposes incidental to the above purposes of use
(9) To send emails for the purpose of providing notices regarding this Service, campaign information, information about products and services, and other advertising or promotional content
Article 4 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)
1. KAH LABO will not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining prior consent from users, except in the following cases or as permitted by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws and regulations:
(1) When required by law
(2) When it is necessary to protect the life, body, or property of a person and it is difficult to obtain the individual’s consent
(3) When it is particularly necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound growth of children and it is difficult to obtain the individual’s consent
(4) When it is necessary to cooperate with a national or local government agency or an entity entrusted by such agency in executing duties prescribed by law, and obtaining consent may impede the execution of such duties
(5) When the following matters have been announced or made public in advance:
i. Inclusion of provision to third parties in the purpose of use
ii. Items of data provided to third parties
iii. Means or methods of provision to third parties
iv. Suspension of provision of personal information to third parties upon request by the individual
2. Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, the following cases shall not constitute provision to third parties:
(1) When KAH LABO entrusts all or part of the handling of personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use
(2) When personal information is provided in connection with business succession due to merger or other reasons
(3) When personal information is jointly used with a specific party and such fact, the items of personal information jointly used, the scope of parties jointly using it, the purpose of use by such parties, and the name or designation of the party responsible for managing the personal information are notified to the individual in advance or made easily accessible to the individual
Article 5 (Disclosure of Personal Information)
1. When requested by an individual to disclose personal information, KAH LABO shall disclose such information without delay. However, if disclosure falls under any of the following cases, all or part of the information may not be disclosed, and KAH LABO shall notify the individual of such decision without delay. A fee of 1,000 yen per request shall be charged for disclosure.
(1) When disclosure may harm the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the individual or a third party
(2) When disclosure may significantly impede the proper execution of KAH LABO’s business
(3) When disclosure would violate laws or regulations
2. Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, information other than personal information, such as history information and characteristic information, shall not be disclosed in principle.
Article 6 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)
1. Users may request correction or deletion of their personal information held by KAH LABO if such information is inaccurate, in accordance with the procedures prescribed by KAH LABO.
2. If KAH LABO determines that it is necessary to respond to such request, it shall correct or delete the relevant personal information without delay and notify the user thereof.
Article 7 (Suspension of Use of Personal Information, etc.)
1. If an individual requests suspension of use or deletion of personal information on the grounds that it is being handled beyond the scope of the purpose of use or was obtained by improper means, KAH LABO shall conduct necessary investigations without delay and, based on the results, suspend or delete the use of such personal information and notify the individual thereof. However, if suspension or deletion involves excessive costs or is otherwise difficult, KAH LABO may take alternative measures necessary to protect the individual’s rights and interests.
Article 8 (Changes to the Privacy Policy)
1. The contents of this Policy may be changed without prior notice to users.
2. Unless otherwise specified by KAH LABO, the revised Privacy Policy shall take effect from the time it is posted on this website.
